Tom Aikens offes his Comic Relief menu at his Chelsea restaurantTom Aikens is on a roll. Recently he won a place in the final of BBC Two series Great British Menu Does Comic Relief and furthering his support of the charity by announcing his participation in the first ever Menu Relief for Red Nose Day 2013. The food-focused campaign sees restaurateurs doing their part by either donating a percentage of the profit from a certain dish to creating one off Comic Relief menus.

Commenting on his success on the TV show which challenged chefs to marry serious cooking with humour to celebrate the charity’s achievements, Aiken said “I'm very proud to have taken part in the first ever Great British Menu Does Comic Relief. Not only do I love a challenge but it was for such a great cause and I'm thrilled to have made it through to the finals.”

The flame-haired, Michelin-starred chef is so proud of the dishes he’s used them to put together a four-course culinary feast which will be served at his Chelsea restaurant Tom Aiken until the end of March. Including his heat-winning Hand-Dived Scallop with Jasmine, Burnt Apple Puree and Pickled Tapioca and Coconut Panna Cotta with Poached Strawberries, Aerated Sorbet and Mint Syrup the set menu costs £75 with whole five English pounds going to Comic Relief.

The four-course Comic Relief set menu at Tom Aiken will run until 31st March. Find out more about Tom Aikens.
