UPDATE - Quo Vadis re-opens to the public on January 10.
Interesting news reached Hot Dinners with the announcement that Jeremy Lee of Blueprint Cafe (aka the friendliest chef Hot Dinners has had the pleasure of meeting) is moving across the river to take up residency at Quo Vadis.
Lee has been at the Blueprint for an absolute age - since 1995 - and before then was also responsible for launching Euphorium in Islington.
In honour of his arrival, Quo Vadis closed for refurbishment and have specifically used the time to brighten up the room to suit Jeremy Lee's style.
The menu - which features Lee's signature smoked eel and horseradish sandwich (£6.50) - offers steaks, a pie of the day and a cheese & wine of the day, oysters and a number of mains like salt mallard and beetroot salad or marinated chicken with pumpkin onions and sage. A theatre set menu is also on offer at £17.50 for two courses and £20 for three.
