The government may be dissing his work with school dinners, but his peers still think Jamie Oliver is doing the right thing. The chef has just been voted the UK's most powerful and influential person in the UK hospitality industry by trade title Caterer Search.
'Oliver clinched the top spot because of his influence and reach across the industry,' explains the magazine. 'He is a chef, restaurateur, campaigner, television star and author as well as being the face of Sainsbury's.'
Other key London restaurateurs and chefs in this year's list include Heston Blumenthal (3), Gordon Ramsay (5), Richard Caring (7), Nick Jones (9) and Jeremy King and Chris Corbin (joint 10th). You can see the full list here.
