One of the chefs doing great things in Paris at the moment is Bertrand Grébaut whose places Septime and Clamato have turned the city's restaurant scene on its head over the past few years - Septime's currently no 57 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants List. The good news for anyone who hasn't the time (or funds) to travel all the way across to France to try his food is that Grébaut is heading to London for a two day residency at Lyle's in Shoreditch. He'll be putting together
Fans of Masterchef: The Professionals better sort out a booking pronto to judge Monica Galetti's latest London pop-up. She'll be putting on a special menu at Searcys The Gherkin in the New Year. Everyone's favourite oddball events organisers Bompas & Parr are at it again and this time they've taken their antics up to the top of The Shard. The duo are behind The Height of Winter, which has transformed The View from The Shard into an "enchanting, sensory winter experience".
What that means in practice is that they've taken over the open-air Level 72 Skydeck, adding super-scaled crystals, gem-studded snow dunes, glowing crystal benches, a
This rather fine looking shellfish dish is the crab burger from Claw. And if just gazing at that photo makes you fancy it half as much as we do right now, you'll be wanting to know that the streetfood folk behind it have just taken residency at The Three Compasses in Dalston.
From this week until the end of January they'll be serving up a mainly crab-based menu with all their crab coming from Start Bay in Devon.
There'll be five burgers on offer
There's always room in Hot Dinners' lives for some crazy pop-up shenanigans in the run up to Christmas and B.I.B sounds right up our street. This Dalston spot will be taking over Brunswick East coffee in Dalston from 6pm every Wednesday to Saturday this November. And the B.I.B? Well that stands for Bag in Box. Yes this is a natural wine box pop-up. It couldn't be more East London if it tried.
Apparently bagged wines are an economical and ecologically sound

Why Wahleeah? Well it turns out that the very first

Just opened, very much on the QT in Mayfair is House of Crab, a short-term pop-up by James Chase of Chase distillery and Dominic Jacobs - the folk behind The Running Horse pub in Mayfair. This new seafood spot, where Chalet (aka Princess Diana's favourite restaurant) used to be, will be here until the end of January, after which the building it's in faces demolition.
As the name suggests, the menu focuses on crab, Salcombe crab to be specific which is where

Following our original story on Little Bao below, we were invited in to try everything at the Soho Kitchen pop-up - and we did indeed have almost everything. First things first, this seems very full-on for a pop-up, with the whole menu changed. temporary signage and lots more touches outside and inside. Indeed, having seen the effort they've been to,
The roving pizza popup set up by Giorgio Locatelli with his wife Plaxy, which was in Marylebone for a three week stint last September, is once more on the move.
This time the Michelin-starred chef is going to be throwing pizzas in Islington (well at least his staff will). Pizza Locadeli will take over the old Post Office space on Upper Street for three months. The space around it is currently being redeveloped as Islington Square - part of a multimillion pound new
