Hot Dinners got a sneak preview of Bellanger this week and even with days of fitting out to go, the place looks fantastic. They've opened up the front of the dining room, adding a semi-private dining alcove, put booths all down one side. There'll be 10 seats for counter dining and a large dining room towards the back which has been
Opening today on Pall Mall is a new private members club devoted to wine. But despite its St James location, the club's aim is to focus on offering fine wine to its members without costing them an arm and a leg. The idea came from founder Grant Ashton deciding he was "fed up of being mugged by punitive London mark-ups on fine wine."
The club's Master Sommelier is Ronan Sayburn who counts Cafe du Vin, Gordon Ramsay Holdings and the Dorchester Collection
Bao buns: soft, pillowy, wrapped around everything from pork belly to ice cream - what's not to love? Now Peckham is getting a bao venue of its own, when Taiwanese restaurant Mr Bao opens this month on Rye Lane.
We've already seen some highlights from the menu, which sound very tempting indeed - their pork belly will be braised for 24 hours, then mixed with roasted peanuts and a home made hoisin sauce before being stuffed inside a steamed bun. Home made dumplings come

The two-storey restaurant will be the biggest Dirty Burger yet and will feature a
Pimlico is getting a new bar - and the bar snacks don't sound half bad. The Clarendon Cocktail Cellar is a new drinking hole underneath the Artist Residence hotel (the name refers to the pub that used to occupy the site).
Expect all manner of art-inspired cocktails denoted by the artwork on the drinks coaster they're served with. So with Georges Seurat’s ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’ the drink will be gin, lemon, Oleo Saccharum, tea,

So there's a new chicken shop opening in London. If those words make you yawn - then hold on. Sounds like Billy and the Chicks might actually bring something new to the table.

We've been big fans of Flat Iron since its early days as a pop-up so news that they're expanding to a massive new Covent Garden restaurant before the end of the year fills us with good cheer.
The new restaurant on Henrietta Street is going to have room for 180 diners - three times as many as their other places on Beak St and Denmark St. And, as they have so much space to play with, they've got some new features

Lucky Chip were one of the first wave of burger vans who showed Londoners just what a good burger actually was (it's hard to remember now but a few short years ago in London a decent burger was almost unheard of). And now after stints at Netil Market and a number of successful residencies - they're finally ready to go permanent with Lucky Chip Burgers & Wine in
We're all for great sushi here at Hot Dinners, and by all accounts a new group from the Middle East is bringing some top sushi to this city when they open their first restaurant in London next year.
Oliver Maki currently have four restaurants in Kuwait and one in Bahrain. Think contemporary sushi dishes rather than ultra traditional. The family-owned business is run by brothers Oliver and Amer Zeitoun. And when they say they live for their
London is slowly but surely gearing up to the launch of the late night tube. And the arrival of La Cabina in Haggerston is another sign of that. This new basement tapas spot will serve a full tapas menu until 5am.
Named after the Spanish phonebox, La Cabina is taking over the space that used to be Manero's. With room for 50 diners, you'll find the entrance at the back of the phone booth on Kingsland Road.
As for food, the menu's been put together by Javier
So while we were excited to bring you news of the opening of Escocesa on Stoke Newington Church Street a week or so ago, seems we'd completely missed another new opening from recent weeks, Rubedo.
