The Cutting Room, a seasonal small plates restaurant, bar and art gallery has just opened in the heart of Fitzrovia. Focusing on sustainable ingredients, dishes will be mainly cooked over charcoal using slow cooking methods, and the late-night downstairs bar will serve bottle-aged cocktails. Working in collaboration with Woolff Gallery, Cutting Room will host regularly revolving contemporary art exhibitions.
The meat section of the menu features charcuterie from Cobble Lane in Islington including wagyu and goat curry. From the sea, miso wild salmon with samphire and grilled octopus with black bean and pear glaze, and from the land, mushroom and truffle sliders topped with guacamole.
A selection of dessert cocktails will be served alongside puddings including Death by Chocolate Martini of Creme De Cacao with Frangelico and vodka.
Heading downstairs, guests can enjoy late night eclectic music, incorporating everything from live musicians to DJs. Cutting Room will serve their “prescription” cocktails, bottle aged drinks served in vintage medicine bottles, the bartender’s remedy, made with a whole host of mood-improving ingredients.
