Fakey Cakey is a totally new product from the team at Tokyo Diner, a Japanese restaurant that has been an iconic part of London's Chinatown since 1992.
Fakey Cakey is so much more than just a sushi cake - it is a hand-crafted savoury layer cake based on shari (Japanese seasoned rice). While there is a range of classic Japanese raw fish, there is also a Western range of cooked meat, fish & seafood, and an extensive vegetarian & vegan range. There are over 15 different Fakey Cakey flavours, available in three sizes: Regular, Rule of Six, Petite (individual). All the ingredients are sustainably sourced and there are no artificial colours or flavourings.
Fakey Cakey has come about because the team at Tokyo Diner didn't feel it was safe to open the restaurant (a heart-breaking decision, since they had been busy serving customers 365 days for nearly 30 years.) For them, Fakey Cakey is a chance to save the business so that Tokyo Diner can eventually reopen as before.
Fakey Cakies can be collected or delivered to all London postcodes. As well as offering Hot Dinners readers a 35% discount, there’s also free delivery (see Delivery Zones for minimum order).
