Opening this November, pop-up restaurant Pacific will be making waves in Mayfair’s restaurant scene with its contemporary Japanese dishes served with a playful Australian twist. Headed up by award-winning Australian chef Shaun Presland, the oceanic pop-up will be taking over 10 Heddon Street for four months from 13th November.
Fresh fish and seafood are at the centre of an innovative menu that gives typically Japanese plates a distinctly Australian twist. Dishes like Bondi rolls, Tokyo turnip-wrapped assortment of sashimi with avocado, chives and house soy and Wagyu steak grilled on a robata served with wasabi chimichurri dipping sauce can all be enjoyed from an interior inspired by the Pacific ocean: think azure walls, hangings designed to look like ripples on water and dynamic lighting that mimics the sun rising and setting.
The Australian-led wine list is designed to complement the fresh Japanese plates, while at the bar, its botany that reigns supreme with cocktails infused with Australian and Japanese herbs.
