Independent wine specialists 28°-50° will bring a weekly Fondue Festival to its Covent Garden restaurant, 28°-50° Wine Bar & Kitchen, from Tuesday, 4 February, until the end of March. Every Tuesday, cheese lovers from London and beyond will enjoy an authentic Fondue Savoyarde experience, featuring handpicked cheeses, dishes and wines from the French Alpine region of Savoie, where 28-50’s chateau and vineyard are located.
Guests at 28-50 Wine Bar & Kitchen’s weekly Fondue Festivals will be treated to a traditional, three-course experience including; a walnut salad to start; an indulgent cheese fondue served with a charcuterie platter and warm, crusty bread; and a tarte tatin for dessert. The Fondue festival is priced at £34.95 per person and also includes a choice of either an aperitif – an authentic French Kir - or a glass of Savoyarde Viognier from 28-50’s chateau in the French Alps, Chateau de Candie, selected by a Sommelier to perfectly pair with the fondue.
28°-50° Wine Bar & Kitchen serves European bistro-style dishes in St Martin's Courtyard. The 28°-50° Wine Bar & Kitchen is described as premium and modern where guests can dine inside the glamorous setting, under a wine glass chandelier feature, while in-house sommeliers pair wine with seasonal European dishes. Sister to 28°-50° on Marylebone Lane the name is a reference to the latitudes between which wine producing grapes are grown.
