Gymkhana restaurant closed by a massive fire

One of London's top Indian restaurants, Gymkhana in Mayfair, was the centre of attention yesterday for all the wrong reasons when a huge fire broke out mid afternoon. Donald Trump dines on beef twice in one day on his state visit to London

There's been quite a few column inches written on the fact that the Queen served up lamb - a meat Americans apparently rarely eat - to Donald Trump at the State banquet on Monday. Maybe that's why on the second day of the US President's visit to the UK, menus returned to the safe harbour of his favourite protein, beef.

It's no secret that the President likes his steak well done, so the…

The annual reveal of the Elite Traveler’s Top 100 Restaurants has taken place, and London hasn't done too badly out of it. But while, as a city, we rank third after New York and Paris for the number of restaurants we have on the list, sadly not one of them makes it into the top 10.

Here's where we placed:

  • 24. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay
  • 33. The Ledbury
  • 50. Core by Clare Smyth - New entry
  • 79.…
