If you've been wondering what's happening with the unusual restaurant that's been built on the Duke of York Square by the Kings Road, then let us enlighten you.
The Duke of York Restaurant was designed by Nex— Architects and it's pretty eyecatching. The spiral building is topped by a public roof garden and features the UK’s first fully retractable glass wall allowing the restaurant's wall to sink completely into the lower ground floor, so the restaurant becomes practically entirely alfresco on a sunny day.
Over the bank holiday weekend, Laura Harper-Hinton, Co-Founder of Caravan Restaurants revealed on Instagram that they'd taken on the building. But she suggested it might not be under the usual Caravan brand. "Watch this space for a new name, new menu, new design, new part of town," she said.
We'll bring you more as we get it.
