This 50-cover restaurant will be open all day, starting with breakfast from 7am and - good news - they'll have a bar that's open till 2am with a 30 cover terrace. The food will be French-Vietnamese and there'll be shellfish dishes, steaks and ribs, cooked on the Robata charcoal grill.

This all-day Provencal restaurant offers "coffees and brunch throughout the day as well as more of a restaurant and bar atmosphere in the evenings." Simon Conboy, the previous executive chef at The Ivy and Rivington Grill in Dubai is Exec chef and it comes from Charlie McLean who used to be at Cau and Gaucho.
Barnes Motors, 116 Petherton Road, London N5 2RT
This restaurant on the borders of Islington and Stoke Newington, was the first from the group that also brought us Westerns Laundry and Jolene. As with their other restaurants, there's a regularly changing menu - influenced by Parisian Bistronomy - and it's paired with a carefully selected wine list that's also regularly updated.

This Chelsea brasserie has a lot of respected restaurant folk behind it who have worked at Brasserie St Jacques, The Greenhouse, Brown’s Hotel, The Ritz Hotel, Harry’s Bar and The Arch. Expect classic French brasserie dishes with a lot of trolley service too.
Bulgari Hotel, 171 Knightsbridge, London SW7 1DW
With a three Michelin starred restaurant over at the Dorchester, this is Alain Ducasse's second London restaurant. It's an informal affair and based on Ducasse's existing restaurant of the same name at Hôtel Byblos in St Tropez with a mixture of French and Italian dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
RICS, Parliament Square, London SW1P 3AD
Just across the road from Westminster, Michel Roux Jnr’s new London restaurant in the Institute of Chartered Surveyors building has 2008 Roux Scholarship winner Dan Cox as head chef. There is a separate first-floor bar serving snacks and smaller dishes and the 56-cover restaurant features a French/Mediterranean-inspired menu. It's a beautiful building with a stunning view of Westminster and Big Ben.

Casse-Croûte is a 20 seater French bistro and is the brainchild of Herve Durochat and Alexandre Bonnefoy. Expect tete de veau, rillettes, boudin noir, macarons, tarte aux fraises and clafoutis on the menu here.

This modern European restaurant boasts a chef, Manuel Oliveri, who has worked at Gauthier as sous chef and management who have worked at Galvin at Windows, Le Gavroche and Rousillon among other places and promises and affordable menu for the area. All this is supported with its own on-site wine cellar.
5 St James's Street, London SW1A 1EF
This popular restaurant closed in 1994 (after opening in 1927) and is now being revived by Joel Kissin - who used to be Terence Conran's partner at Conran restaurants. It is a luxury French bistro with a separate cafe called Café Marcel, offering "lighter fare".
58 Poland St, London W1F 7NR
This restaurant is from Jason Atherton and, to date, his only one in Soho. As with all of Atherton's places, the bar is just as important - so make time to head upstairs for a cocktail or three. There's also a lovely chef's counter restaurant hidden away in the basement.
St. James's Hotel and Club, 7-8 Park Place, St. James's, SW1A 1LS London
William Drabble moved from Aubergine to head up this self-styled 'intimate' restaurant at the St James's Hotel and Club. The menu may be 'modern-French' but the provenance of the food is all British. The dining room has just had a major refurb from Russell Sage Studios, giving it a new bar area and extended dining room.

Claude Bosi and his brother already have a pub in Wimbledon (the Fox and Grapes) and now they've opened their second in Fulham. This time, they'll be aiming for "modern British pub food" but Fulhamites can expect a stamp of quality as Bosi has enlisted Marcus McGuinness, the former Head Chef of Hibiscus (Bosi's two Michelin starred restaurant in Mayfair), to take over the revamped pub.
42 Gloucester Avenue, Primrose Hill, London NW1 8JD
Nadra's original Chiswick restaurant is a hit with the locals and this sees him moving north to Primrose Hill. Expect a menu with British, European and Asian ingredients as well as a martini bar.
20 Sherwood Street, London W1F 7ED
Messrs Corbin & King's subterranean palace is a truly egalitarian establishment. The original hotel here aimed to "to make the luxuries usually available to the very rich open to the less well-off". In its current incarnation this huge restaurant does the same - offering starters at pre-decimalisation prices as well as one of the best prix fixe deals in town. Just off Piccadilly Circus, swanning down the stairs here always feels special - don't leave without ordering the singular Îles flottantes.
27 Battersea Rise, Battersea, London SW11 1HG
They've already built up a legion of fans with Terroirs and Brawn, and now Ed Wilson and Oli Barker have opened their third restaurant Soif. Their latest natural wine bar and bistro will "continue the pair's ethos of opening rustic, hearty, simple and seasonal French and British food complemented by an extensive range of natural and bio-dynamic wines".

This restaurant at the top of the Hilton on Park Lane is the jewel of the Galvin group. It boasts amazing views over Hyde Park.where guests can enjoy innovative menus based around seasonal British cuisine.
40 Abbeville Road, Clapham, London SW14 9NG
Adam Byatt and ex St John Bread and Wine chef Karl Goward have launched this neighbourhood bistro with a strong focus on British food. We particularly like the idea that you can buy spirits and store them on site for future visits.

The Langham, Portland Place, London W1B 1JA
This sees Michel Roux Jr in charge of the main restaurant at The Langham hotel in Marylebone. It's a more formal affair compared to his gastropub The Wigmore next door. There's also an excellent, world-class bar in the hotel, courtesy of Artesian.
8 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5NG
With a bar designed by Russell Sage, who was behind the Zetter Townhouse, and a head chef who's worked under Ducasse and Alain Roux, this is a brasserie serving "French/Anglo food". Expect a charcuterie bar and a Champagne balcony, along with a "Champagne Angel" on hand to pass on fizz tips. The design of the St James bar also aims to mimic Coco Chanel's 1920's Paris apartment.

This Wandsworth institution is run by Bruce Poole (in partnership with Nigel Platts-Martin). It's been serving a classical French menu with Mediterranean influences since 1995.
232-236 Brompton Road, London SW3 2BB
This bistro venture from Marlon Abela, owner of Michelin starred Umu and the Greenhouse in London, is on the old site of the Oratory. David Escobar, formerly at French three-Michelin-starred restaurant Lameloise will head up the kitchen while front-of-house will be Jean-Marie Miorada who comes over from The Greenhouse.
