The former Head Chef at Brunswick House, who’s also done time with the Young Turks, has opened up a restaurant called Salon on Brixton Market above the Cannon & Cannon Deli.

"Balfe brings out the main course, mutton with cabbage and anchovies, as if he knows it’s the star turn. Butchered so we can see the curve of the muscle, it separates into long, lovely ropes of sheepiness." READ REVIEW

"Obviously both (dishes) were cooked in advance but even after about 45 minutes they arrived tepid. The chickpeas interspersed with tiny nuggets of fat soon grew monotonous and the venison tasted exhausted." READ REVIEW
