It's amazing what an effect the sheer terrifying prospect of speaking in public can have on your appetite. As we write this, we're facing down the prospect of our first biggie - a TedX talk at London's Kings Place tonight. I can tell you one thing though - we are SO going to have a decent tipple once it's over with. Let's hope there are lots of friendly Hot Dinners reader faces in the audience!
21 March - Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is serving up a special 6-course menu and wine pairing for Goût de France - using French food like sea-dived scallop, chicory, country bacon, green asparagus and Nantua sauce. The menu is £260 per person and includes a wine pairing.
23-24 March - Leandro Carreira will be taking over the upstairs library at L’Escargot on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th March 2017. Dishes will include Iberico pork with esparregado; sorrel emulsion fava beans and onions; and cured prawns and baked cabbage. Tickets are £75 per person.
3-9 April - Victoria cicchetti restaurant and bar Tozi is running a limited-edition menu inspired by Italy’s Piedmont region. Expect beef from Fassona cattle braised in local wine such as Barolo and plenty of truffle-based dishes.
6 April - Canary Wharf's Chai Ki is bringing its Indian soul food and cocktails to the Alfred Le Roy canal boat moored at CRATE Brewery for one night only cruise from Hackney Wick to Limehouse Basin. Tickets for the Chai Ki cruise on the Alfred Le Roy will be £20pp available from Design My Night.
6 April - The tenth annual Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch with Prince Andrew as guest of honour is taking over the Guildhall in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. For £100 you'll enjoy a range of curries prepared by Noon Foods, with wines provided by Private Cellar and beer by Cobra Beer.
29 May - Book now for an English Wines Dinner at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe. Sommelier Andrea Briccarello will guide you through Nyetimber wines paired with a menu by Michelin starred Chef Patron Chris Galvin, with Head Chef Tom Duffill. Tickets are £75.
Florentine - Lambeth Ostrich eggs, flatbreads, slow-cooked Sunday roasts and more artisan produce than you can shake a stick at is the order of the day at this new restaurant near Lambeth North tube. Opens 23 March. Check out our soft launch offer.
Blacklock - City Blacklock, famed for their chops, are coming to the City for their second restaurant. Expect an extended menu with new cuts, starters, and their all-important cocktails in a 100-cover restaurant which takes bookings. Opens 27 March (50% off soft launch until 31 March).
The Bun House - Soho The Bun House is the latest restaurant to serve up bao buns. And this place will be mainly focused on the takeaway buns - with fries made from deep-fried duck tongues.Opens 27 March.
