There's no need for the luck of the Irish when it comes to making it on the London food and drink scene - just shedloads of talent. And those on our annual Murphia List have it in spades. Now in its third year, we celebrate London's best Irish chefs, publicans, restaurateurs and more in the run-up to St Patrick's Day. Sláinte.
21 March - Nuno Mendes will host a Goa dinner - the first of his Portuguese travel suppers at Taberna do Mercado exploring the international influence of Portuguese cuisine. Tickets are £60.
23 March - If you love champagne book now for a Perrier Jouet dinner at Claridges, hosted by Hervé Deschamps, cellar master. To accompany the tutored tasting of five different cuvées, executive chef Martyn Nail has created a collection of canapés and a four-course menu. The evening is £250 per person.
9 April - Former Polpetto chef Florence Knight joins Anglo's Mark Jarvis in his kitchen for a five course one off Sunday lunch. Tickets will be £65 and you can book by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
13 April - book now for the festival of Songkran, Thai New Year, at Mango Tree. There'll be traditional dishes and special performances. Tickets are £58.
27 April - Islington's Pig & Butcher launches a series of monthly supperclubs showcasing one of the restaurant’s producers and farmers. The first is Duchess Farm and dishes will include cuts from an 8-year-old cow that's been finished on beer grain and beer from Redchurch Brewery, Hackney.
Rick Stein - Barnes He's been a mainstay of Padstow for many a year but this sees Rick Stein heading to Barnes for his London restaurant. Opens 17 March.
Sparrow - Lewisham A husband-and-wife duo who met in the kitchens of St. John’s are bringing their extremely ample experience to a new restaurant in Lewisham. Opens 21 March (50% off soft launch until 26 March).
Onodera - St James After 23 years, Matsuri St James has closed - but it's reopening as Onodera. This restaurant will be a Japanese grill. Opens 17 March (50% off soft launch 17th - 18th & 20th - 21st March)
