We'll be frank. We didn't do Dry January, Veganuary or even mildly-reduce-consumptionuary. Because the first few months of the year are plain grit-your-teeth grim and who wants to compound that by not going out? If, on the other hand, you were made of sterner stuff than us, you've just a day to go before abandoning the wagon, dropkicking the kale and embracing life to the full again. Welcome back.
1-28 February - February sees the launch of the Valtellina Ski Menu at Bocca di Lupo with dishes you'd find served on the Lombardy slopes such as Pizzoccheri (buckwheat flat noodles) with butter, bitto cheese, cabbage, sage and potato or dwarf deer marinated and stewed in red wine, spices and a touch of chocolate.
4 February - celebrate National Pisco Day at Ceviche, Casita Andina, Andina, and Ceviche Soho where you'll get a snack and a cocktail for £9 from 4-6pm.
5 February - Watch the Super Bowl in Style at Balthazar with five super-screens, foam fingers to cheer on the teams, a popcorn machine and food served throughout the night. Tickets are £50 including a welcome cocktail and food till 5am. Book at email@example.com.
8 February - The Tatenokawa Brewery are having a showcase dinner shipping over their premium sakes for a special dinner at ROKA Mayfair. For £180, guests will sample five sakes alongside sushi and robata dishes, such as Konbu Smoked duck with barley miso and tamarillo chutney. Book on 07545244570 or email Sammie@rokarestaurant.com.
15-16 February - Chefs Tom Sellers and Tom Aikens will co-host two Kitchen Stories dinners at Restaurant Story. The £150 dinners kick off with a glass of Nyetimber and then a tasting menu of six snacks and eight further dishes (each chef will prepare three snacks and four dishes).
Bel Air - Farringdon Bel Air's an LA food inspired space that opened originally in Shoreditch serving salads and more. This sees them expanding to a second spot in Farringdon.
Le Dame de Pic - City The main restaurant at the new Four Seasons has triple-Michelin-starred French chef Anne-Sophie Pic as the chef. Expect La Dame de Pic's menu to be similar to its Parisian counterparts.
The Baluchi - Tower Bridge The Baluchi is best known abroad as a high-end Indian restaurant that's in luxury hotels throughout India. Now it's opened in London as part of the new Lalit hotel.
