Whether you’re doing Veganuary, Dry January or just generally want to clean up your act however briefly, here’s where to do that in London.
8 January - Belgravia's Mango Tree will be transformed into a Bollywood set, featuring performances from Bollywood dancers, a master class on roti cooking and a DJ playing into the night. The three course dinner menu is £55.
9-14 January - The first guest pita collaboration at Berber & Q Shawarma Bar is Dan Doherty. His crispy duck shawarma, duck fat toasted pita, chilli and pomegranate glaze, pickled cucumbers and onions, roasted garlic and sumac yoghurt is on all next week.
13 January - Andrew Clarke from upcoming restaurant Bastien will be the guest chef at Farmopolis Cafe. His feasting menu will be served on communal tables surrounded by thousands of plants re-homed from RHS Chelsea Flower Show.Tickets from £45.

Kricket - Soho Already a big hit in Brixton, this is the second Kricket - expect a bigger space with the same great Indian small plates. Opens January 5
Bala Baya - Southwark Southwark’s Old Union arches are home to this Israeli restaurant with its own in-house Gazoz bar. It’s the first solo venture from Eran Tibi, who cut his teeth working with Israeli food legend Yotam Ottolenghi. Opens January 11 (soft launch to Jan 15)
Plot - Tooting This Tooting restaurant is promising to serve up the best of local British grub, with Michelin kitchen experienced chefs on hand. Expect locally sourced small plates. Opens January 11
