Test Driving Motu - home delivered Indian food from the people behind Gymkhana

What can you tell us about Motu?

It's basically an Indian food delivery service - and then some. Mainly because the food is from the same people behind Gymkhana and Trishna, so you're going to get something special here.

How do I get it?

Currently, that's just through Deliveroo - and as they're based in Battersea, delivery is limited to South West London. But keep an eye out for more locations being announced soon.

What's on the menu?

You can get some of the Indian takeaway classics - Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryani and more, but expect them all to be a little pimped up. For example, the korma is "laced with cashew nuts and rose water essence."

But it's some of the more unique dishes that you'll want to be ordering. Motu gave us a chance to try out the service and the one thing you must order - as long as it's on the evolving menu - will be the Bone Marrow Lamb Methi Keema. It is just as amazing as it sounds and a perfect partner for their naan.

Also - definitely try the Tandoori Mixed Grill - the Tandoori lamb chop being a particular winner here.

In all - it's worth heading straight for the Feast Boxes (£16 for one person, £32 for two) which include a main course as well as Kachumber Raita, Pappadums, Mango Chutney, Naan, Pilau Rice.

Anything else?

Oh, yes - it all comes in a big themed Motu box to help keep everything tidy. It's really quite impressive (a cut above the normal Deliveroo delivery, for sure).

Overall?

If you fancy a taste of Gymkhana food but can't make it to the restaurant, this is definitely worth a try. It's a top notch curry delivery and we think we've barely scratched the surface of what they've got to offer. If you live in South West London and can get it delivered then it's recommended.

Motu Indian Kitchen delivers to South West London as well as Peckham, Brixton, East Dulwich and Herne Hill - to see if they deliver to you, check out the Deliveroo site
