They're not letting this anniversary wander past, however. Instead, they'll be giving away FIVE HUNDRED bowls of ramen. They'll have 250 bowls at the original Dean Street location and all of their other plac…

Simpson's-in-the-Strand to re-open after a big refurbishment

Updated with opening date.

West End institution Simpson's-in-the-Strand is about to get a major facelift, courtesy of the Savoy. It's rare that you can get away with describing something as "iconic" and while Simpson's fits that bill, it's been clear that something extra was needed to bring the place back to its glory days. Here's what you need to know:

1. The restaurant is getting a full-on refu…

Duck and Waffle Local do takeaway - and those crispy pig ears are on the menu

This is potentially dangerous news. Not only is Duck and Waffle Local now doing takeaways, but their amazing BBQ spiced crispy pig ears are on that menu too. We absolutely LOVE these and the knowledge that we can just wander in off the street and order a packet has made our day.

There's lots more on the takeaway menu too, like the Duck Burger, the Duck and Waffle itself and their waffle cones to…
