You can now buy Angela Hartnett's pasta in Fortnums

fortnumpasta

Last week Hot Dinners popped into Fortnums, as you do on a Thursday night, for a pasta dinner cooked up by none other than Murano's Angela Hartnett. The object of the occasion was to launch Hartnett's new range of pastas and sauces for the Piccadilly store. And if what we had was anything to go by, you need to head down here pronto to stock up.

Hartnett has spent time training up Fortnum’s chefs to make up pastas to her own specification - everything from classic tagliatelle, linguine and gnocchi and rabbit agnolotti. To accompany the pasta - and save yourself from having to do ANY work yourself - are a range of sauces including tomato, pesto, sausage and fennel, and puttanesca.

On the night, we tried rigatoni with sausage and fennel sauce but the standout by an Italian country mile was the pumpkin and amaretti tortellini with sage butter. SO good. Literally the only thing that could improve this would be a delivery service direct to our door. So we can highly recommend picking up a packet or three.
