Summing it all up:There's something for everyone at West India Quay's newest warehouse conversion, from sharing boards and superfood salads to all day brunch and Sunday roasts - and plenty of cocktails. There's room for 200 to sit outside too.
The low-down
West India Quay is about to get a new restaurant built into a new warehouse, with ample riverside outdoor seating.
It's the newest project from Drake & Morgan, a London-based bar group, which means there'll be more than enough cocktails for you to sample. There'll be the Bees Knees made with Botanist gin, Cointreau, lemon juice and honey syrup, or the London Spritz, a blend of Tanqueray, cucumber, elderflower, apple and mint. Those who're not drinking can get involved with their mocktails, while those after something a bit lighter can pick from their range of London craft beers and ciders.
The menu will be of the all-day variety, and will have include sharing boards and superfood salads, plus individual plates like crayfish flatbread, roast chicken with chimichurri sauce, and hot smoked salmon with watercress, poached egg and garlic croutons. Come the weekend, The Bothy will be running brunch all day long, with standout dishes including buttermilk chicken and waffles, while on Sundays it'll be roast beef with yorkies and gravy.
200 or so can nestle down on their sizeable terrace, which will also be loaded up with ambient touches like fairy lights and planters. If you're worried about the chill, the staff will be on hand to provide jumpers and hot water bottles. But with the summer tantalisingly in reach, that should soon, hopefully, become surplus to requirements.
