A somewhat surprising addition to London's single dish focused restaurants is on the way - as Searcy's has started a revamp of its Champagne bars. Now they'll be Champagne AND meatballs bars.
It's all kicking off with Searcy's at One New Change, with more to follow. The food menu will be a simple one, it's either meatballs (pork or beef) and pasta or meatballs and ciabatta. The sauces will be pesto or tomato and pancetta, the pasta will be paccheri or trofie and the toppings will be Gorgonzola, anchovies or smoked almonds. And they'll be available on a stall in the main One New Change area too.
There will also be some small plates - meatball sliders on a brioche bun, crab and fennel salad with Sicilian orange and castel franco lettuce, and smoked salmon ciabatta with mozzarella and artichoke.
As for the drinks - expect the Champagne to keep flowing alongside plenty of cocktails.
