Evening Standard restaurant critic Fay Maschler is passing over to the other side - she's just announced the opening of her first restaurant project. Maschler, in partnership with Simon Davis - who she runs the London Restaurant Festival with - have worked on the opening of Bond & Brook at department store Fenwick on Bond Street with catering company rhubarb. The restaurant will open on 2 August 2010.

It's the first restaurant project that Maschler and Davis have done from conception to opening - they also advised on the menu at the St Pancras Grand. The chef will be Daniel Taylor who was previously in the kitchens at Le Cafe Anglais.

Bond & Brook will be open for breakfast through to cocktail hour - dishes currently being mooted for the menu include Breakfast In A Skillet with a Virgin Mary shot and tomato water jelly on goat's cheese mousse.
