Quirky glamour, salads and wine for city workers at The Otherist

otherist

Fans of the popular City lunch hotspots the Anthologist, and the Folly and Fable, will be pleased to know that there’ll soon be a new opening from the group on Old Broad Street: The Otherist.

If its sister restaurants are anything to go by, the new venue will be a useful new place for city workers to enjoy a proper wine and dine session. It’ll live on the site of what used to be the Old Broad Street branch of the Corney & Barrow wine bar, a chain recently acquired by Drake & Morgan (the team behind The Otherist et al).

The Otherist will be open for all day dining with a familiar menu, offering flatbreads and small plates for peckish sorts and sharing boards for groups. Plenty of gym-friendly salads will also be on offer, made with smoked chicken, crispy duck or hot smoked salmon, plus less gym-friendly options like fish and chips, or burgers.

An ample wine list will offer over 20 wines by the glass, plus a healthy selection of cocktails, smoothies and more. It’ll be closed on weekends, but available for private hire.

The Otherist opens late November at 111 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1AP. It’ll be open Monday - Friday. Keep up with their news on Twitter @TheOtheristBar.
