If you're a fan of TV cooking competitions, you might be interested in a new London venture which gives contestants (and other homegrown chefs) the chance to run their own pop-up restaurant.
Pipe Dream restaurant, just round the corner from Southgate tube station, has already run a dinner for this year's Masterchef winner Tim Anderson and it's just opened booking for one of Tim's fellow contestants, James Perry - aka the Tattooed Chef.
Perry, you may recall, was a father from Milton Keynes who was sent packing just before the semi-finals of this year's programme and perhaps became best known for tattooing the Masterchef logo onto his chest.
He's come up with a five course dinner he'll be serving up at Pipe Dream on 3rd and 4th October 2011. Highlights include a hot amuse-bouche of parsnip foam in a potato basket, shin of beef with dumplings and a choux eclair with red apple mousse.
Dinner costs £50 a person excluding drinks and can be booked at www.pipedreamrestaurant.co.uk/
