Little Ghost is the latest residency to pop up at Birthdays in Dalston

The run of interesting residencies over at Birthdays in Dalston continues. If you were out of town over Easter you may have missed the opening of their latest one by Little Ghost. This street food turned pop up spot serves up Asian-inspired bagels, loaded fries and squid ink fried chicken. It's all very dark, in the best of ways.

The bagels come in two varieties, using charcoal or beetroot to turn them inky black or pink. And while they're made the trad NYC way, the fillings are decidedly non-trad - so there's a fried chicken Katsu bagel and a ssamjang pork belly & pineapple kimchi bagel. It's not all meat-based though, there's a startling looking beetroot, potato and coconut curry bagel going down a storm on Instagram at the moment.

Chef Adam Andrews, who's behind the food, was previously head chef of the kiwi café Flotsam & Jetsam and sous chef at the Aussie café Milk, in Balham.
