Grillstock comes to London with a new Walthamstow smokehouse and festival too

For folks in E17, there's a new local BBQ opportunity as Bristol fave Grillstock warms up for their upcoming festival with a brand new smokehouse. It's the first time they've come to London and they've already opened the doors in Walthamstow.

At the new venue, you can expect a soundtrack and design inspired by their festivals (more of that below) and a mix of booths and communal tables. As for the food, there's the usual BBQ staples including pulled pork, brisket, ribs, wings, dogs and the massive Grand Champion. That's pulled pork, brisket, a full rack of babyback ribs & ½ chicken plus brisket burnt ends, mac ‘n’ cheese, chilli cheese fries, slaw, BBQ beans, pickles and a bread roll - all for £35.

Plus burgers too - including their lockjaw burger: Two 5oz beef burgers, pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, burnt ends, melted cheese, house pickles and fry sauce for £14.50. And there's plenty of craft beer, soura and spirits too.

And that's not all from Grillstock as they're bringing the festival to London too (also in Walthamstow), in early September. That's fronted by Razorlight on the music front and will see dozens of BBQ teams from around the UK competing to become King of the Grill (there will be plenty of samples to go around). That's on September 5 and 6 and you can book tickets now.

Grillstock E17 is at 198 Hoe St, London, E17 4BF and is open now. For more information, follow them on Twitter @grillstock
