Glitzy new hotel for Guildford will sign up celebrity chef

guildfordIt may not be the first (or even the second, third or fourth) place you'd think of going for a glamorous dinner, but a new hotel opening up in Guildford has designs on drawing London diners out of town.

The Radisson Edwardian group, who also own London's May Fair Hotel, are opening a hotel in Guildford's city centre with two restaurants, a dining terrace and two bars. The restaurant's design will be down to The Gorgeous Group, who were responsible for the new-look American bar and Beaufort bar at The Savoy, Covent Garden's Indian cafe, Dishoom and the just-opened Waldorf Astoria Syon Park.

One restaurant will have a Pan-Asian style menu while the main hotel restaurant will be in collaboration with an as-yet-unnamed celebrity chef serving local, British food in grazing-style dishes.

The hotel will open this summer.
