Forget the cronut - Selfridges' biskie is the new sweet treat in town

biskieWe've had the cronut, the doissant, even the controversial duffin - now Selfridges on Oxford Street wants in on the action and is launching the biskie. The biskie is a cookie/cake/biscuit combo layered with icing, jams or caramels and was created for the store by two sisters Annabel and Emily Lui who run the Cutter and Squidge bakery.

As you might expect in the run up to Christmas, there's a festive version of the biskie - namely the (pun-avoiders look away now) Mince meet me in St Louis and the Mull it over. We've no idea what they taste like (yet) but we do have to say the pictures look most enticing.

Available exclusively at Selfridges Food Hall from 5 December, biskies will be £1.99 for one or £14.99 for a box of eight.
