Ferran Adria confirms El Bulli's closure for two years

Three months ago, chef Ferran Adria hinted at the fact there might be major changes afoot at El Bulli. ‘I have to reinvent myself,’ he told Londoners, of the possibility he might only open for one month rather than the usual six.

Speaking today at the food event Madrid Fusion, Ferran finally announced that his restaurant – voted best in the world for five year’s running – will not be open to the public in 2012 and 2013. As booking has already closed for the restaurant’s 2010 season, that makes getting your reservation in nice and early in January 2011 even more crucial!
