Farang is popping up in Highbury for a six month residency

What: Farang

In a nutshell: Thai food in Highbury

Summing it all up: Farang comes from ex-Smoking Goat chef Seb Holmes. You may have seen them appearing in Dinerama and Hawker House, but this sees them in a long-term residency that should become a full-time restaurant in Highbury.

The low-down

You may have seen Farang in Hawker House - Thai food from Seb Holmes, formerly of the Smoking Goat and The Begging Bowl. He's been popping up over town and has previously had supperclubs in San Daniele in Highbury. And now he's about to kick off a much larger stint in the same location. Farang will replace San Daniele with a six-month residency which they're hoping will become a permanent spot for them.

The menu at the new spot includes:

Grilled Flat Iron Beef Steak with Roasted Chili Jaew

  • Cornish Mussels in a Coconut, Green Curry & Sweet Basil Broth
  • Pork Belly & Lobster Lon with Dipping Vegetables and Herbs
  • Jungle Curry of Fresh Cornish Dayboat Fish
  • Fresh Doughnut with Crab Apple Jam, Coconut & Kaffir Sugar and Pandan Custard
