Get ready, because the hottest new table in town is about to open for bookings.
It's from the same people behind The Palomar and The Barbary and is part of their big new Soho pub, The Blue Posts. The main pub and cocktail bar opened late last year and now it's the turn of the downstairs restaurant.
It's a small affair, the bar seating only eleven and much like the two restaurants before it, it's all about counter dining - but this time you will be able to book. That said, a couple of seats and a small table which seats a further four will be available to walk-ins too, so it's always worth a try. And you can wait in the cocktail bar until your seats are ready - which is always a good excuse for a cocktail.
It's all led by Head Chef Nacho Pinilla (The Barbary, Copita, The Bull & Last) is in charge of the kitchen and here's what's on offer from the menu of about 10 dishes:
- Cuttlefish ragout
- Polenta bramata and Mammole artichoke
- Rock salt fillet of beef and bone marrow
- Brussel sprouts with oyster sauce and sesame.
The restaurant will also have a separate wine list. They say "both producers of the moment as well as lesser-known gems from small-scale winemakers. A Bin-Ends section rounds the selection off, showcasing rarer wines, only available in tiny allocations."
