Dirty Burger and Chicken Shop both to launch in Whitechapel

dirty Burger and Chicken Shop both to launch in Whitechapel16/5/14 - updated with soft launch details.

Soho House's two very popular ventures continue to reach out to all sides of London. We've already seen Chicken Shop and Dirty Burger in the north (Kentish Town), the south (Chicken Shop in Tooting, Dirty Burger in Vauxhall) and now they're both going to unite in the east as the open in Whitechapel in the same building, arriving next month.

This is the first time the two concepts have been joined together in this way - and we don't expect it to be the last...

What you need to know about Dirty Burger/ Chicken Shop

It's a burger/chicken mash-up. The main offering is fairly self explanatory - chicken or burgers. The chicken, which uses a secret marinade recipe, will be served quartered, halved and whole with either of the Chicken Shop’s sauces - ‘Hot’ or ‘Smokey’. Or if you're more into beef, you can have one of three Dirty Burgers: a Cheeseburger, Dirty bacon or a Dirty cop-out, a vegetarian burger made with Portobello mushroom, melted Applewood cheese, pickles, rocket and tarragon mayonnaise. Alongside either of these, there will be crinkle cut fries, onion rings, creamy coleslaw, corn on the cob and salad.

Alongside this will be daily special cocktails, beers on tap, craft beers wines, soft drinks, sodas and shakes.

There will be breakfast and weekend brunch too. They'll have poached egg and avocado as well as a Dirty Breakfast: sausage and egg or bacon and egg and a brand new addition - Dirty Doughnuts. These will be made fresh each morning, with daily changing flavours including blueberry, mocha, cinnamon and coconut. A limited number will be made every day and at £2 each, will be available until they sell out.

You can eat chicken and burgers al fresco. The restaurant will have "an industrial feel with makeshift seating, exposed brick and piping and high ceilings" with a vinyl record player that you can play your own records on. It'll seat 60 and will extend to 40 more in the summer months with outdoor seating. There will also be counters for anyone who wants a burger on the go.

Where is it?  27 Mile End Road, London E1 4TP

When does it open? 21 May 2014 - with a soft launch on 19-20 May, 50% off food and drink.
