Cut+Grind bring burgers created right in front of you to King's Cross

What: Cut+Grind

In a nutshell: Freshly-ground burgers in King's Cross

Summing it all up: Cut+Grind is a burger joint with a difference, where the burgers are all ground in full view, and the meat changes on a weekly basis. So you're looking at a very fresh burger here...

The low-down

It's been open a few weeks now, but hidden away at the back of King's Cross, there's a new burger spot that you might not have heard of. In charge of things is Head Chef Sammy Aykac, who used to be at Burger & Lobster and Zelman Meats - and they're being very up-front with how their burgers are being produced.

All their burgers will be created from meat that's ground in-house and that'll be done right in view of diners too - so there's no doubt that you'll be having a very freshly created burger indeed. But maybe keep your vegetarian friend's back to the grinder (the menu has veggie and vegan options too, though).

And on top of all that, specials which have already included

  • Avocado mayo, maple bacon, panko crispy poached egg, chicken patty
  • Yellowfin tuna steak, soya mayo, Asian slaw, crispy egg

The beef blends will be changing every week and you can choose whether you're after a lean or juicy (marbled meat) burger. Once you've chosen your meat, you can have the "Brave" (just with bearnaise), the "Classic" (bearnaise, lettuce, seasoned tomato, pickle, sweet red onion) or "House" (adding maple bacon to the Classic). And pair it all with halloumi fries, sweet potato fries or truffle parmesan fries.

And they are open all day - so if you fancy a breakfast burger to kick off the day (in an English muffin with poached egg and cheese), this may be the place for you.
