Chelsea’s The Botanist gets a refurb alongside a new chef

If you’re a regular visitor of Sloane Square's The Botanist, you might need to postpone your slinky British food and drink fix for a spell, as it shuts for 10 weeks for a full refurbishment.

The upmarket all-day bar and eatery is set to reopen again in early October, with more Champagne and botanical cocktails - always good news - plus a new all-day brasserie menu from the new executive chef, Ameya Bhalekar (The Savoy, Caprice Holdings’ 34 Mayfair, Soho House’s Road House).

Aside from that, there’ll also be a 45-seater bar and an interior design overhaul.  We'll get more pics of that as soon as it's ready. This original Botanist is seen as the flagship restaurant in The ETM collection (you may be familiar with its City counterpart), and opened 10 years ago in the northwest corner of the rather well-to-do Sloane Square. So we'll be interested to see how they update it.

Where: 7 Sloane Square, London SW1W 8EE

When: Reopening in October
