Expect Salsiccia e Friarielli, Panzerotti A La Noma, and Olive Bellinis...
The low-down
If you’re a fan of Bar Termini in Soho, then good news - owner Tony Conigliaro and business partner Marco Arrigo – head of quality at Illy coffee, are opening its first sister bar, Bar Termini Centrale, just off Oxford Street.
It’ll be a short hop over to Marylebone for all the usual coffees and cocktails day and night, with an extended menu heavy on Italian-style snack and small plates. It’ll be bigger than its Soho counterpart too, with a sizeable outdoor terrace, and comes with the added bonus of taking reservations.
New for Bar Termini Centrale, there’ll be an Olive Bellini, plus a bottle-aged Bergamot Negroni. Those not drinking alcohol will also be catered for with the Al Penguino, made with lemon and mint syrup and topped up with fizzy Italian Galeffi. There’ll be a reappearance of the bar’s Spritz Termini, the Terroir and those bottle-aged Negronis.
If you need something to line your stomach, then this time around there’ll be a proper all day dining menu, ranging from breakfast pastries (also available from 8am through its ‘breakfast hatch’ for those in a rush), to more serious dishes, like fried Panzerotti A La Noma with tomato, aubergine and ricotta. You can also expect options like Salsiccia e Friarielli - a type of broccoli, plus Smoked Octopus Carpaccio, Baccalà Salad with Sea Aioli, and a selection of aperitivi for those who just want something to nibble.
