Bidding starts for Mince Pie Project - we check out some of the pies on offer

Bidding for the Mince Pie Project starts at midday today. Now in its third year, the annual charity event brings together 100 of the UK's best chefs for a Christmas auction. Smokey Tails opens permanent restaurant on Dunston Road in Haggerston

DJ Seth Troxler threw one hell of a party this summer with his BBQ popup in Hackney. But now he's put down roots with a permanent restaurant opening officially tonight in Haggerston.

Krug Kreperie pops up with a menu by Pierre Koffmann
