American craft beers come to Bodeans Tower Hill

Sunshine, beer and barbecue on a balmy evening – even on a Tuesday, Hot Dinners wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to get stuck into this most summery of combinations. There, we sampled a tasting menu pairing a variety of imported beers provided by the American Craft Beer Company with a selection of Bodean’s meaty barbecue…

George Osborne's Byron Burger causes a storm

A perfect storm of food meeting British politics broke this morning. The Sun published a story about George Osborne's 'fail' at a man-of-the-people tweetpic he'd posted showing him scoffing down a takeaway burger whilst finishing up on his speech for the Spending Review. Seems the chancellor's big mistake was to opt for a burger from Byron rather than sending someone out to McDonalds.

"It was a go…

It may be raining as we write this, but for the first time in years, we spent a day at Taste basking in the London summer sunshine rather than dodging the showers. Although there seemed to be more people than ever pouring into the event, they must have rearranged the layout somehow as nowhere seemed to be too packed.

With just four hours to see as much of Taste as we could, our first stop was Duck…
