This is getting out of hand. Restaurant duo George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev appear to be vying for the title of busiest restaurateurs in London. Having only very recently opened the hugely successful Lita and with places like Goodman, Wild and Belvedere under their belts, just to name a few, they're now getting ready to open Fantomas in Chelsea.
Their latest project sees the pair join forces with chef Chris Denney who most recently ran the critically well-received West London restaurants 108 Garage and Fiend. And while their other restaurants have focused perhaps more on general vibes, hitting that sweet spot between great food and general merriment-making, this one says that the pass "is where the real spotlight will fall at Fantomas".
It sounds like what's on the menu is going to be hard to define this far in advance but we're told this quote might give you an idea... "I mean it's Modern European with an eye on Asia - particularly Japan, rooted in the seasons, Chris is pathological about produce."
There will of course be some great cocktails on the restaurant's list (we were very impressed with our recent ones at Lita) and guests can expect to find an extensive wine list too. It's taking over the old 28-50 Chelsea spot on the King's Road.
