The Pig's Ear in Chelsea is the Gladwin Brothers' first pub

The Pig's Ear in Chelsea is the Gladwin Brothers' first pub

10/5/24 - updated with the opening date

In March, after just over two years in business, The Chelsea Pig closed. But a pub has been in that space for a very long time,  it's coming back in another form pretty sharpish. The Gladwin Brothers have announced they're getting into the pub game, opening The Pig's Ear.

The Gladwins are behind restaurants like Rabbit in Chelsea and Sussex in Soho (as well as the recently closed Fat Badger in Richmond). This will be their first proper pub though. We're told it will be led by chef Patron Oliver Gladwin and his brother Richard Gladwin and they'll be "celebrating all that is great about British seasonal produce" while also keeping it as a proper pub.

The pub got a major refurbishment from designer Timothy Oulton when it opened as the Chelsea Pig, so it'll be interesting to see if this latest version will change the look of the pub that much.
