Le Gavroche is popping up at Wimbledon

If you didn't manage to get hold of a ticket in the Wimbledon draw (and don't fancy the queues) there is one other way of ensuring a seat at this year's Championships. Seats have just gone on sale today for Le Gavroche at The Lawn, a pop-up restaurant overseen by Michel Roux and his team who'll be at Wimbledon for the duration of the event.

A seat at the restaurant run by Keith Prowse, Wimbledon's Official Hospitality Partner, also comes with the opportunity to choose which day you'd prefer to be sitting in Centre Court. On the menu will be a selection of Le Gavroche's most famous signature dishes and will also signal the temporary return of the famous Le Gavroche cheese trolley. All that doesn't come cheap with seats starting at £2305.

"When we announced the closure of the restaurant, we said that the Le Gavroche name will live on," says Michel, "and this will be a Wimbledon experience to remember. It’s not just a chance to enjoy an iconic Le Gavroche menu, but also to be surrounded with some of the memorabilia that made Le Gavroche a welcoming and beautiful place to enjoy for so many years."
