Slowly but surely Shack Shack have been expanding all throughout London (and recently even revamping their first Covent Garden location). Now, for the second time (they also opened in Cardiff) they're moving beyond the boundaries of the M25 (albeit only just), opening their tenth location at intu Lakeside Shopping Centre. So if you've ever been in dire need of a good burger after shopping there - this will be a godsend.
As with other UK Shake Shacks, they'll have the usual selection of burgers (all singles or doubles, including the ShackBurger, ShackMeister and SmokeShack), hot dogs, shakes and concretes. So you can expect all that and the cheesy fries (along with, hopefully, the roasted garlic fries that we've rather grown to like on our own recent visits to a Shack). Along with every UK outpost, they'll have some frozen custard concrete mixes that are unique to the location. These are:
- All You Need Is Lakeside - Chocolate custard, fudge sauce, ST JOHN chocolate hazelnut brownie, Paul A Young chocolate chunks, and chocolate sprinkles;
- The London Orbital – Vanilla custard, chocolate toffee, Paul A Young chocolate chunks, salted caramel sauce, and malt powder;
- Pie Oh My! – Vanilla custard and a slice of seasonal Outsider Tart Pie (donating 5% of sales to support Open Door, an independent Thurrock charity)
Finally, unique to the area is a mural from local artist Kate Prior.
